Various Artists "Mr DC riddim"
This riddim has gone through several names and at the same time has survived the test of time. Originally named 'Shaking Up on Orange Street' because Prince Buster's tune was the first and then it just naturally transformed into 'Pressure & Slide.' This was the Tennors and Richie Stephens & Marcia Griffiths have 'Reggae & Rum' on the riddim as one of the better ones. It is a take off of the Tennors tune 'Pressure & Slide.' The riddim then was called 'Mr DC' from Sugar Minott. The last name it had was 'One Dance' when Beres Hammond sang that song on the riddim. Now the best tune is Shaggy & Shane's 'Like To Be.' This one sounds like a hit. Newcomer Abby Dallas has a nice one called 'Bam Bam' and of the better tunes, the ol' dogheart Silver Cat returns with a decent on in 'Wine Fi Me.' A little more dancehallish than the others. Also on the riddim are two from Mitch, Ras Demo, Delly Ranks, Demarco, Jah Wiz & Johnny. There is something for everyone. We just discovered a bonus track from Sanchez. It's second here:
