SOCA

Various Artists "Bring It Back" riddim
What makes this riddim special is it has all of my favorite new soca artists all on one riddim. The riddim sound good The songs are decent no hits or real bangers so it's a focus on the artists that are on this riddim. It's more to make you aware of these artists, more than anything. Those artists are, in order of appearance, Kerry John, Aaron Duncan, Marge Blackman & my favorite Turner and Viking Ding Dong is coming on good too. Bunji has the best tune on the riddim.

Calypso Rose "Calypso Rose & Friends"
This is not a full album, it is an EP with more than friends. Interesting to say the least. This is a compilation per say of all songs that have previously released. The first song kicks off the album with the newest song with Nailah Blackman's "Baila Mami' which was released with much success two and a half years ago, yet the song is still relevant today. Now the Queen of Calypso has released the song with Nailah & the latin flavor of Lao Ra as well as a remix of this version with King Doudou at the end. 'Same Boat' features native Kobo Town a Grammy equivalent Canadian based group that mashes Caribbean styles together and this tune is synchronizing that sound. 'Clandestino' is a classic from Manu Chao and this version includes Calypso Rose. Sounds so natural for these two to work together.Hopefully theres more to come. The classic 'Amazing Grace' has been joined by Rancid's original frontman TimeBomb Tim Armstrong and the hottest ska band in the land The Interruptors to produce a calypso jam. The first release in this project was Machel Montano with 'Young Boy.' She wants a young boy, which I am sure is true and I can tell you Ms Rose will mash him up. The remix of our first & last tune has a reggaeton feel. This project will elevate Calypso's profile with such a wide & great cast. The rose is still rockin & teachin. Take notes
