REGGAE

Flying Vipers "Off World"
Flying Vipers have grown in so many ways. It is really nice to see and hear. Surely there's a reason for the name yet it caught my attention the first time. Now it's just name. The important name to remember right now is the addition of vocalist Kellee Web. This dub band now has soul with the pipes of the Web. It is a great addition. The album remains very dubby, even with the vocals. It give their sound that vintage & traditional. The first track is their signature dub sound. The first vocal track ever from the F-ing Vipers is....... come on 'Show Me.' That's the name of the tune. She fits the bands style well. 'No One Wants An Alien' fits the album title, their sound and is also done similar in a dub style in their song 'Outer Space Inc.' We feel that fit well together and can be mixed together on a live DJ set. In this 'Off World' there are two kinds of people 'Believers & Deceivers.' The next track 'La Planete Sauvage' features Brandee Younger, who we will assume is playing the harp which gives it a very interesting and different sound. Heavy dub on many of the vocals like on 'Jackals' an earlier single. Well it's that time to say goodbye and not to forget about the new inger as she sings 'I'm Gone. Enjoy.

Busy Signal 'Roots'
It is the order of the day. It is just what we need it's 'Roots' reality we need more roots. We need the youths to draw for the same otherwise we may loose it into obscurity. It will never be completely lost. We just need more of this type of music to save what we have and have it progress. Ask yourself who is doing reggae music? Authenticity is rare. Even the biggest in the business from the newer generation are not doing it authentically. Can you name the top ten modern day roots reggae artists?
