REGGAE

Tenna Star “Musical Journey”
If you started singing at 5 years old and you were now 45, you would, more than likely, be considered a veteran. With his best album yet, Tenna Star's career is just starting to blossom. It has been a long “Musical Journey. “ This album is not only good and solid, it also has a lot to offer: there's love (‘I Want You’, ‘You Say You Love Me’), inspiration (‘Musical Journey’), faith (‘Just Believe’), spirituality (‘Praises’, ‘Restore My Soul’) and roots & culture (‘Black Liberation). The album also provides strength and realty within the music itself. Sonically, stylistically, lyrically and even his little sound bites and slurs will remind you of reggae singer Tony Curtis. At the same time, there's a whole new, original sound coming from Tenna , who’s going to be a Star.

Dionne Warwick, Fiji & Nomad
A classic Hawaiian Christmas tune "Mele Kallikimaka" gets a legend and a reggae feel to it. A 1949 original, has Dionne Warwick, reggae & Hawaiian artist Fiji along with producer Nomad, all of Grammy status, joining forces on this big tune for the holidays.

Tarrus Riley feat Mykal Rose "Guess Who"
Tarrus Riley takes a Black Uhuru classic and brings in the original voice Mykal Rose to make a modern day dancehall
styled reggae classic. Tarrus Riley goes back to his roots of music and style. Tarrus started out as a DJ and shows his versatility in this one and uses a song that he grew up on. A lyrically charged tune that shows a dub side too.

THREE HEAVY RASTA/DUB RELEASES

"Energia" - Dawtas of Aya & Kibir La Amlak
Their songs and lyricism are spiritual, poetic, hypnotic and endless explosions of feminine energy, which speak of the pains
of 500 years of oppression, and speak of the struggle and hope of freedom for all brothers and sisters in situations of
oppression and inequalities worldwide.'Aya' is a West African adinkra meaning 'perseverance and endurance',
symbolized by the image of a fern, a plant that is well known for its robust strength and ability to thrive under unfavorable
conditions. Carol Afreekana, Regiane Cordeiro and Sistah Mari are artists in their own rights. Joined in a casual meeting with
London-based Kibir Lá Amlak at the Tawai Dub Festival, Kibir La Amlak recognized their talents and strengths. The combination
of these three artists and distinct styles makes Dawtas of Aya a force to be told, no stone is left unturned, no subject is
presented without enthusiasm. It's heavy rasta music in Portuguese. Stand outs are the title track, 'Fogo' aka fire, 'Na݃o Pare a
Mu݁sica' and 'Minha Voz Vai Ecoar.'

Fikir Amlak & King Alpha - "Hear Me Chant & Ancient Man"
Fikir Amlak & King Alpha's 'Hear Me Chant Dub' is a heavy electro dub track that puts you in that hypnotic state. It takes you to
that place. 'Ancient Man' is strong and straightforward with almost the tone of a cry in Fikir Amlak's voice. The weather and
natural occurances make him the 'Ancient Man.'

King Alpha - "Dub Elevation Vol. 2"
This album has two versions of each of the 5 songs. All songs are very heavy dub and the second versions seem to be even
heavier. Dub fans will be elated & elevated with this release.
