KULCHA LATINO

Jah Nattoh & Unity Sound "Todo Tiene Su Tiempo
Mad91 has been a force within the European Latin music scene. Mainly focused on hip hop & reggae, they have now released an EP from Jah Nattoh and for this first time with Unity Sound. It has 7 tracks of Lovers Rock to New Roots. Two major collaborations as well. There is also a visual for every song.

The album starts off with one of the better songs off the album called 'Sed.' Basically, he's singing that he's thirsty for his 'mami.' One of the better Lover's rock songs on the album. Well it's another one. This time his girl has the love that is 'Lava.' With the popularity of El Roockie 'Santo' should get plenty of attention. Jah Nattohsings it's worth it and it is worth it. Keep listening because Morodo comes next and he's one of the most popular in this genre form their region of Spain. 'Libreta Nueva' is the new notebook with everything in it. Has a bit of a dancehall feel. 'Matador' literally means killer and in particular means a bullfighter who is out to kill the bull. Nattoh is relating it to politics in this song. So in the end he's just giving thanks with 'Dar Gracias.' Show your gratitude and take a listen here:

VARIOUS

Samora "Elevation"
Switzerland-based Surinamese-Dutch singer Samora brings her songs together in her latest release, ELEVATION – The Collaboration Album – Part 1. Produced by Ludovic Hoarau and Res Staudenmann, this digital album features seven collaborative tracks with artists from across the globe, blending reggae, dancehall, Afrobeats, and conscious lyrics. Samora starts with a funky/reggae track called 'Funk It Up (More Reggae).' We have heard this fusion before and this has to be one of the better releases. Samora combination starts with Miss Anji & Shedea Dona. As you listen to Samora, you will quickly realize that she is the 'Suriname Boss. Samora visited Jamaica in 2024 to collaborate & she inked first with Yeza. This is your dancehall selection. 'Woman' sees Tamika join her on this powerful track.  '(Full Up With The) Energy' has a good vibe of reggae from Samora coupled with the hip hop energy from Svmthox. 'Children' are our future so we must protect them sings Turbulence on this reggae track with Samora. 'You Give Me Love' with Natty King  is great way to close the album. The key is how well the variety of musical styles & lyrical topics work so well under Samora  talents.
Chuck Fenda, Natty King and Turbulence.

Kristine Alicia & Dameon Gayle 'My Boy Lollipop'
What a tune sweet. It's combining elements of both reggae & dancehall, yet leans more towards afrobeats. Kristine Alicia has found the formula alongside her answer to the song in Dameon Gayle.
