Buju Banton "Too Too Bad"
Buju Banton doing just as he said: he put out his reggae album as promised and now it's time for his hardcore dancehall album. Buju is a living legend. He Does Not need any introduction. In the words of his new album he is "Too Too Bad" and as he sings 'We Nuh Play.' For our riddim & dancehall enthusiasts, This first song is the 'Diseases' riddim, the 'Golden Hen version. That good ol' dancehall vibe from the 80's, a major influence on Buju. To find out what 'FAFO' stands for, you have to listen to a side of Mr Banton you do not know. The next track 'Eye 2 Eye' is a hardcore modern day dancehall with colleagues Disco Neil & Silent Addy. 'Xrated' is on the popular 2026 riddim 'WYFL.' This is the other side of Mark Myrie, here's 'Good Pum Pum.' That is not all the Banton wants in a woman, hear what he says in a woman 'Like You.' Do you remember the Born Jamericans, well Notch, who was the singer, had a song on the big, bad 'Buy Out' riddim. His song was 'Nuttin No Go So.' Well, Mr Myrie samples it for 'Wild Woman.' Tune has a vibe. 'House Call' is another call to the ladies that Buju loves. It continues with Ari Lennox on 'Satisfy Me.' The album's first single is still one of it's best 'Butterflies' because Buju will 'love you for life' and it's on the classic 'Real Rock' riddim. In the end ladies he is just asking that you 'Be Good' to him. Overall, Buju Banton is a 'HeavyHitters.'
As Buju sings in his song 'Too Bad' 'me baby momma say we too bad we too bad' on the revision of the riddim for his song 'Batty Rider,' which originally released in 1992. It re-releqased in 2005 as 'Tuck In Your Belly.' So in 2026 Buju is now "Too Too Bad."
WORTH A LISTEN
The Green "Titles"
The Green puts out their rootsist album yet in "Titles." Also showing their Hawaiian roots. They got the 'Roots Girl,' too. So all the roots are covered. The "Titles" to listen out for are 'Give A Little,' 'Titles,' 'Love For You' with Johnny Suite, 'Roots Girl,' 'Sad Thing' & 'Ua Ko.'
