REGGAE
Humble “Humble”
Humility is a great trait. In these days and times, it can be hard to find. Kulcha Shok searches high & low every week to find the best music within the Caribbean diaspora. We not only found a humble youth. We found an artist by the name of Humble with an EP called “Humble.” We know of him and are impressed by not only his humility, there is talent there as well as good music. It is only 5 songs, five good songs. Love the topics of the songs: food, reggae music, and babylon & their new world order. Humble tackles the topic of food in not one song, he does it with 2 songs. Food is one of life's main givers. Its important to know what you put in your body. The first is the one tune we know from an EP that is mainly remastered. It is called ’Market Rock.’ A ditty that all Jamaicans can relate to. The line ‘don't come a market and feel up feel up’ has a hold on us. It’s very catchy. On a much serious note, the second food song is about GMO, called ‘Plant What U Eat.’ Humble is here to bun up dem GMO. They say ‘reggae gone but reggae still deh deh, it a hold a steady meddy.’ Isn't that the truth. In Jamaica, every grandma have lessons. in this song 'Old Time Days,' 'granny says the old time days are the best, them create diseases and talk 'bout safe sex......nothing no nice again.' Lastly, the 5 song EP "Humble" ends with 'Fi Dem Kind, a go kill mankind.' Humble sings about the bigger heads and their plan. We have to give the youth a try, they are our future too.
