SHOK WAVE: NEW MUSIC RELEASES 3/8/21

SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.

Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?

REGGAE

Jah Lil  'Human Race'

Akae Beka  'Reverency'

Rik Jam 'Beautiful'

DANCEHALL

Various Artists "Kitchen Table riddim"

This is a riddim which is coming out of Shaggy's stable called Ranch Entertainment. Shaggy is on 3 of 5 songs. In fact, Shaggy has 2 of the best songs on the riddim. They are 'She's What I'm Into,' which features Assailant & Tony Gold, who sounds great on this one. The Other one being 'Jamaica Holiday' with Ne-Yo & Ding Dong. The third song is with Noah Powa & Shane Hoosong called 'Go My Way.' The riddim starts with a hardcore one from Bounty Killer called 'Stop Light.' The third song on the riddim and the final one for us is Spice with 'Spice Holiday,' which is a song that is a little smoother around the edges for Spice. Shaggy's songs definitely have that crossover & pop feel, so maybe we might hear from him more on a wide spread level.

Beenie Man, Popcaan & Dre Island 'Fun In The Sun'

KULCHA LATINO

Jah Fabio & Gyptian 'Mi Own''

RAGGAE ROCK

Kolohe Kai 'Feel The Sunshine'

Gentleman's Dub Club "Down To Earth"
The UK's Gentleman's Dub Club release a new album with three good to decent tunes. The title track "Down To Earth" is the track to get the vibes flowing, while 'Sunshine Revolution' is tune that can't go wrong with and brings that 'Sunshin.'  How can you not 'Smile ' with a song like that has the same and it's our favorite.
