REGGAE
The LickShots "Bang"
This is a dub album with the combination of sound system culture embedded into the music that also is jazzy and brings a dancehall vibe. It's a tribute to the music done in an original style with original music. Do not know who the musicians are behind the instruments, it is quality music. Many elements that work well together and create nice musical melodies to keep you well entertained. As the MC says in the intro of the track 'Evergreen' 'The Lickshots a come better.' The track is very roots reggae combines with jazz and heavy dubbed out rockers.Lick two shots for The Lickshots who end it on a high note with good advice & good music 'Never Dub Dry' with what sounds like the great voice of Dre Island and a jazz piano lick.
Various Artists "Love & Reason riddim"
The "Love & Reason riddim" is a nice African produced compilation of mainly African based artists and several outside their homeland. Several are also in their native. Our favorites are from Ghana David Oscar Dogbe 'Why Do We Vote' and the Topgyal Renner with our other favorite track 'Wait-A-Thon' fro. All are worth a listen, even if you don't understand them.

Munga Honorable "G.R.E.A.T."
Munga Honorable has always had a talent and that talent coupled with a sound. His voice has a distinct, catchy vibe, even though he uses autotune. "G.R.E.A.T." is a solid album and his best to date, that stands for great, rasta, entrpeneur, artistic, and tenacity. It's a 'Toast To (his) Life.' We love 'Great' because it is just that. He know's he's 'great.' One particular line rings so well with use because it applies every 5-10 years:' from we born we know we're great, no matter what a gwaan we hold the fate..... if a no my time we know fi wait.' 'Heart and Soul' has great lyrics.'In Vain' is an interesting way to look at a few things in life and another good lyrical song. The Honorable Munga has always hailed 'Sellllaaaaassssie....' on the intro of most of his songs and raised a God fearing youth. Bounty Killer joins him on the title track. The other thing you always hear him sing/say is Hilltop which is his record label. 'Bad People' & 'People Things' are those that have the famous bad mind which he sings about quite a bit. 'Avoid People' is the song that does just that for those with that infamous disease. 'Pretty Smart' is about the girls and uses an interesting few lyrics that use them Jamaican bad words. Reminds us of the 80's dancehall. 'Riches' features Demarco. 'Free' is another one we really like. "free' me from the those bad minded and set me 'free.' We all want to be 'free' yet the 'System Fail.' As Munga states 'Jah is the savior.'
