DANCEHALL
Epik Jones "Now That's Epik"
An overall banger for predominantly dancehall music. It has alot fo potential to move the genre forward in so many ways. The album starts with a poem called 'Cry of a Black Boy.' A very striking poew written & read by Epik himself. Speaking in depth on racisism and not just towards black people. The album starts musically & properly with Tony Matterhorn's 'Been Through It.'It's a relevant follower of the opening poem. It's Matterhorns tuffest tune lyrically & in delivery. A real boom. 'Dancehall Girl' you are covered by your dancehall girls IShawna & Lisa Mercedez and Shata Wale & for the Latinos Jah Fabio. Tamo J has a double sided sword with 'Alone.' First, Tamo doe not want to be 'Alone,' yet the girl of his pursuit says she's better off 'Alone.' Mr J makes a sweet bid for the girls heart. So 'Tonight' Smoodface promises he will be the best you ever had so you will not have to be 'Alone.' Shatta Wale gets a double shot and his second tune, 'Cash Life (The Baddest)' with Trillary Banks and it has more of a hip hop feel to this dancehall track. This one a di 'baddest.' Is Spice one to 'Cool It?' Not to our knowledge, yet she goes hard on this one because she likes it hard. These last two are a bit risque; you've been warned. Smoodface returns as the 'Lova.' He sings 'come climb on the the tree limb, if you want to touch the ceiling, I'll make you feel alright......come closer, she's my lova lova' rudeboy style. Do you know what 'wickie wickie bam bam?' It's gunshots. Elephant Man follows the skit with 'Prayer.' which he djs 'Jamaica make we live in peace, too much people dead every day.''Meck It Clap (remix)' by Konshens & Xyclone, we can hear on a Power 96 (Miami) or Hot 97 (NY). 'Real Love' is the most different tune on the album for many reasons.: The artist is different with a different spelling (GuyManDem). It is the only soca based tune and it talks about that 'Real Love.' It has a different sound. Lastly, Spice's 'Cool It' gets a remix. We think everyone can find something on this album check it out
Jr Cat 'Find Your Soul'
The ol dawg named Jr Cat telling the youth to put down the gun and 'Find Your Soul.' Great lyrics, great style and flow. This old dogheart might actually get a few of the youthe to actually put down the gun because of his respect he garnishes. Big the Cat. Has that old dancehall stylee too.
Terry Ganzie 'Jus Nah'
The Outlaw returns to defend his title and and 'Jus Nah' let them bad him up. Oh so you don't remember The Outlaw? Remember 'tralalalala welcome the outlaw.....' It's Terrry Ganzie. His tune is on the Earth Movers riddim and joining him is another veteran Admiral Tibet. Nay sater in both cases need to stay far. In other words, we don't talk about you so dont talk about us. Admiral's tune is 'Carry No Bring Come,' now you know what that title means after all these years.

REGGAE
Various Artists "Wheelahs Riddim"
This is the first full riddim release by Revelashan, who is also an artist and son of Natty Remo. The son is a singer and appears on the album twice as such. The first track, is one of the best not only for the album, also for Prezident Brown who sounds alot like his mentor U Brown. It truly is the 'Sweetest Thing' for his darling & lover. There's lots to learn here as well in Jah Time because you are never alone. Other veterans like Tony Chin & Earl Zero make appearances on the album. The best part is all the 'sunshine. Ashley Irae 'My Sunshine' is her partner and as she sings it really shines through.A real nice surprise was to hear Natty Remo formerly the Capt, yet still sounding as good as ever. He shines & delivers on Shine For Me.' Shine some light on the album and listen.

Roslyn Reid 'Mash Up Crew'
Elephant Man ‘Dem Nuh Like We’
We are not ones to restrict artistic expression. We do tend to steer away from profane language. This one is just too good to hold back in any way. Beware we have warned you. It is a tough tune and genius at the same time.
