Reggae
Record Day & 420 are right around the corner so lots of reggae will be coming out. In what's the first release geared towards those themes is The Movement's re-release of their biggest tune 'Light It Up.' It's about to get even bigger as the remix is called 'The Habit 2016' and it features two of my favorites Bobby Hustle & Collie Buddz, Watch out!
Here's a new reggae song from a new reggae singer Koxx. It's a straight ahead reggae song about reggae music called 'I Love The Reggae.'

Ephram Alves a soca artist releases this nice reggae tune 'Never Find.'
The Movement has returned with a bang. Their new album 'Golden' is really nice. The first single we mention above. On top of that great song they also have a few other really good songs: 'Smoke,' 'Rescue,' and 'Home.'
Our next release is going to be up for my album of the year. It's coming from the little known Fyah T out of Germany. This is Europe's next big reggae star. His album is called 'The Real Rebellious.' It's excellent. His worst material is better than most people's good stuff. He literally burns the 'FYAH' with his modern roots reggae music and he does it with 'Good Vibez' (One of my favorites). I really loveĀ 'Live & Learn' and 'Ruby.' Fyah teams up with General Degree, Glen Washington & Luciano and his best songs are still his solos. It's all good. The next level of songs are 'Rainy Days,' 'Golden Locks,' 'From The Ghetto,' 'Set We Free,' 'Total Mess' and 'Thank You Father.'
Flava Records re-releases the 'Sweet Riddim.' I'ts nothing short of that with an all star cast. The shining stars on the riddim are Chuck Fender, Prophecy & Richie Stephens. The top cut is from Gramps Morgan like I've never heard him before on 'One In A Million.' Etana's 'Happy Heart' is a close second and really does make one happy.
One of the hottest rising reggae/dancehall artists anywhere is Vershon. His latest release 'Mercy A God' on the riddim Memory Lane and it shows his versatility.
Cali P is steadily growing his career and the next step comes from his single 'Guiding Shield.'
The legendary Lloyd Robinson, known for the original 'Cuss Cuss,' has released a new album called 'Candi Girl.' A decent album that shows he not lost it one bit. The top track beside the re-release of 'Cuss Cuss' is 'Rougher Than Rough.' There's also Sly & Robbie on it too.
Dancehall
The only non-reggae release I found worth talking about this week is DJ Sunshine & her Yellow Moon Records release of the riddim ''Pile Up." There's three sides to this riddim: dutty, crossover, and the underground. Mavado & Aidonia both have potential crossover tunes. Then there's the dirty as in indecent, & very indecent I will add, language that ranks high on that, so be careful where you play these esp in this mix. Lastly, there are two rising dancehall stars here that I've never heard and I'd like to shine the light on them. They're clean and have promise. The first is Feedo with 'Happy' and Garrizon Chris' 'No Trust.' Nothing great just shining light on the good.
