Shok Wave is a weekly Reggae Music report, review, and blog courtesy of Kulcha Shok. It's a weekly overview of the best Reggae Music that comes across our laptop: Reggae Roots, Lovers Rock, Ska, Dancehall, Reggae Rock, American Reggae, Soca and any other form of Reggae or Caribbean music. We only post the Reggae Music we feel is more than worthy.
New Reggae Releases
Pablo Moses - 'In the Future'
Pablo Moses has released 'IN THE FUTURE' a Promo-cd. It is basically The Revolutionary Years 1976-83 » a kind of best of on the 4 very first albums. It reminds one of how good his music is. It includes 'A Song,' 'Dubbing is a Must,' and 'Pave The Way.' All are good though.
Skarra Mucci - 'Dancehall President'
Skarra Mucci releases his 'Dancehall President,' which could aptly apply for a Jamaican living in Europe. 'Higher Than High' featuring Mandrike is one for the herbalists while 'Somebody New' is something new for Skarra as he's singing like he's never sung before.
Cologne - 'Countryside'
Cologne releases a nice new reggae album called 'Countryside.' Top tracks include the title track, 'Move Me,' 'Hurting Me' and 'One Drop.'
Cyber World Riddim
Cyber World riddim is a riddim I really like the sounds. It has 4 songs on it. I am really feeling Canada's Blessed with 'Cry Every Day' and Omar Perry's 'tired Ah Dem.'
GTA Affect Riddim
Busy Signals reggae remix of 'Lonely' has been remixed again to give it more life through the music it has been given. It's on the GTA Affect riddim.
New Dancehall Releases
Blue Book Riddim
Blue Book Riddim is a nice dancehall riddim which keeps it sexy, maybe a bit too sexy at times. I favor Notch's 'Bubble Whine' and newcomer True Diva's 'My Man.'
