Shuga 'Bun Dedm Down'
As a new artist and finally establishing herelf in the reggae arena, Shuga is not showing her sweet side on her newest single 'Bun Dem Down." She's giving it to them extra hard. She sings 'it's the fire inna me.........we ready fi go bun dem, bun dem down, from them no clean we a bun dem down.' The fire is hot & blazing and Shuga ready fi bun da whole of dem. Capleton needs to jump on thi one for the remix.
Macka B feat. Don Richie 'Still Look Good'
Well Macka B found the right lyrics and catch the better melody for his new one for all the ladies called 'Still Look Good.' Getting a little help from his bredren Don Richie. It's so true, they still look good nowadays, in all kind of wonderful ways & still on the front page. 'He basically saying they all look 20 years younger.
Alpha Steppa & Leno Banton 'Mirror Mirror'
We love the lyrics of this one. 'Mirror Mirror who do you see, I see Jah Jah reflecting right back at me.' We also like the dub to this. Both links are.
KULCHA LATINO/LATIN REGGAE
Various Artists "EsReggae : Retribucion Al Reggae Venezolano"
An Interesting Spanish reggae album from a Venezuelan perspective. Venezolanos are big fans & supporters of reggae music. This album shows the influence especially from a reggae perspective of the wide spread affect of reggae. It's more than a tribute album, it's a dedication to their culture from a reggae standpoint. The is a free album, there's is a link below.. It's being used to trade medication to help a project called 'Music For Medicine' and donated to humanitarian assistance of NGOs in Venezuela. The album also tells the story of how vital the Jamaican music and it's message is part of the experience & identity of many Venezolanos. The first song of choice that showcases an album of Venzolano talent comes from Daniella Morales and Valentino Thompson called 'Vamos A Bailar.'. Originally done by Maria Conchita Alonso. This is a nice reggae rendition. Let us mention, too that the album is pretty well produced. We also like the rendition of Bob Marley's 'Redemption Song.'Wealos love the instruemental. track called 'Chip Chip' originally by Hugo Blanco. It has a dub version, too. Both are great. Rassus Dubwise did the dub version. Also want to mention One Chot contributed to the album as well. The album has 13 songs and 4 dub versions from bands like Onice, Negus Negast and Jahbafana to name a few, 77 musicians in all. Just released & being promoted in the US as it was originally released 4 years ago in Venezuela.Es Reggae is used because it was a slogan used in the 1980's in Venezuela for 3 bands to set themselves aprt from the rest. It's a tribute to Oscar de Jesús Colina and his muic who inspired this movement of reggae. Reggae represents the things that these people believe in equal rights, justice, love & compassion for humanity in unity. Dedicated to those who paved the way from Jamaica to all involved in Venezuelan's reggae scene past, present & future. Saludos a todos. One Love.

Sublime vs Biggie 'Santeria Dream'
Imagine two of musics biggest acts of the 1990's that died at the height of their career return with a brilliant combination. it's a mash up of Sublime's 'Santeria' & Biggie Smalls '
Elephant Man ‘Dem Nuh Like We’
We are not ones to restrict artistic expression. We do tend to steer away from profane language. This one is just too good to hold back in any way. Beware we have warned you. It is a tough tune and genius at the same time.
