Kenne Blessin "Caught My Attention"
Kenne Blessin has always had talent, it has been a longer road for him since coming out of Antigua is a tough place to make it. Mainly a soca artist for most of his career, he has seen success in soca. Now living in the US and doing much more reggae especially on his latest album "Caught My Attention,' his time is near. This new album is a Lover's Rock album. From a musical aspect, this album does not contain a bad song. On the flip side, they are not all bangers. We do really like the album once the song 'Good Thing' starts playing. This is where the album picks up steam. 'All we need in love is 'Understanding.' Very true and this song takes it into the second gear of love. We have to go in reverse for a moment. Love has steps to happen right. A woman has to catch your attention before you can fall in love. Now the Blessin says 'My Love Will Never Die.' He's musically all over with his love. If put together orderly he has it: the formula of love. He basically started in neutral jumped to second gear back to first then straight to overdrive. 'Sign The Deal' should come after she got your eye. It is a reggae album so there will be a variety of subjects. Kenne has dealt with the Lover's Rock aspect. So here goes: another 'Blessin' is Ganja From Jah.' Bob Marley always said you can't run from yourself and in 'Running' it is basically the same thing. 'Jah Jah Loves Me,''Spread The Love' are different types of love.. Then comes a nice cover of 'Vise Versa Love' by Barrington Levy. Lastly, a bit of his soca roots come out in 'Wine Up' with a touch of dancehall. You get it all on this album: lots of love, ganja, Jah, and a party to end it all.

One of those few times when I prefer the dub over the regular vocal track.
