Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?

REGGAE

Lutan Fyah 'Endure'
Lutan Fyah releases as much as anyone in reggae muzik. We personally do not find a whole lot that stands out. This one does because it's a bit different in delivery and melody for the Fyah man. Hope you enjot

Ras Cup feat. Lion Size 'Free'
Really nice tune that encourages lots of positivity and be 'Free.' The song also says to free yourself from mental slavery and be who you want to be. We love it.

Various Artists "NHS Riddim"
All four songs are slow rocking groove called the NHS riddim by Mungo’s Hi Fi. This time vocals are provided by no other than pioneering Dancehall legend Lady Ann, the first female DJ to get a number one single and album. She originally started MC-ing on Killamanjaro Soundsystem in Jamaica in the 1970s, alongside arists like Little John and Toyan and went on to record with the great Jamaican producers of the time including Sly and Robbie, Joe Gibbs, Bunny Lee and Junjo Lawes. The other feature is long time Mungo’s collaborator Ranking Levy with a laid back deejay ramble around the streets of New York and a fattened up clean version of the riddim. It's more of that 80's style.

Maoli & Morgan Heritage 'Midnight Hour'
Two hemispheres join in harmony through reggae music. Maoli from Hawaii & Morgan Heritage. The harmony is the song 'Midnight Hour.' Maoli has a big following in the Pacific Island and the Polynesian world. Morgan Heritage has two Grammy nominations among the band for reggae album of the year. There is lots of harmony on this one
Exco Levi 'Mek Wi Chant'
Exco Levi has been a bit quite. It changes when he say 'Mek We Chant' nyabhinghi ove Bunny Wailer's classic track 'Armagiddeon.' Rasta music lives.

Brother Culture & Olinka 'Reggae Roots & Vibes'
An international styled tune with Brother Culture from the UK & Olinka out of Mexico push the 'Reggae Roots & Vibes' inna dancehall style.

DANCEHALL

Various Artists "Doo Run riddim"
Mr Doo returns with hot reggae/dancehall riddim called "Doo Run." The standouts are Brian & Tony Gold with Bounty Killer with 'Things You Do,' and the return of the duo of Shaggy & Rayvon 'Drive Me Insane.'

Claye 'Big Gun'
Singing dancehall vibes with wisdom from Claye. He uses the book for knowledge as the 'Big Gun.' Wisdom from a young rising reggae singer.

Taje 'Outside'
A very 90's dancehall style song, almost with a cross between the 'Bam Bam riddim' and Singing Sweets 'When I See You Smile'

ROCKSTEADY

Dub Libitum feat. Dr Dubwiser 'It Costs That Much'
To say the least, this is a very interesting track in many ways. First and for most, the sound of the muzik is great. Then things get interesting. The song is about as the title says it's costs to do things and Dub Libitum needs to get paid because it takes 'fucking hours and I dont have super powers.'  It has a different vibe in that sense. He even cusses bad words and we dont support those types of songs. This is different it's said in a different tone and not with anger or aggression. Then The album cover is hilarious and who is this guy. Mysterious. So we did our homework. It's a trio of 2 females and a male from Spain. Now we find out it's a cover song of Woah Dude, which is a great song.

REGGAE ROCK

Dale & The ZDubs feat The Elovaters 'This Time'
We have been hearing the name Dale & The ZDubs now we get to hear them. Fisrt impressions are important and this is a good one especially since Jackson Weatherbee of the Elovaters laces the track. Taking nothing from Dale, Jackson makes it and gets them noticed. Dale would like to see it through. Well Dale everything takes time even 'This Time.'
Seranation 'Birds Of Paradise'
'Birds of Paradise' is Seranation's best song to date. The reason, this band is living the life they preach the life of 'Birds of Paradise.' Join the fun and the good vibes, Seranation is currently on tour too.

SOCA

Allison Hinds & Nappy Farmer 'Good In Goodbye'
Whats the 'Good In Goodbye' if I coming right back to you. Sound familiar? Many relationships do it. It's best just say good bye and done it. This duo works well with this song and they harmonize well. This is is on the 'Timeless riddim.' The others are decent too.
Various "Red Dress Riddim"
Produced by TeamFoxx and Lashley Winter, the "Red Dress Riddim" is a nice and a bit different soca riddim. Named after the the Motto track 'Red Dress' aka 'Wine For Me.' A Catchy hook. Sedale's 'It's A Wrap' comes like a cross between Skinny & Problem Child, who's also on it with the sweetest of 'The Cookie.' The girl mad Sedale just listen to the bad intro.

REGGAE LATINO

Laguna Pai 'Normal'
From the Peruvian reggae band comes their EP "Eterno" and from that Ep comes our favorite song of it 'Normal.' They spell normal just like in English so you can probably imagine what this song is about. Yes the normal life will things ultimately turn normal. Song has a great groove.
