REGGAE
Beres Hammond "Reggae Icons"
A great new compilation of strictly Beres Hammond, 21 songs, most of which have been remastered. Definitely several classics: 'What Once Dance Can Do,' 'She Loves Me Now' and 'Groovy Little Thing.' There's several of those deep cuts like 'Irie & Mellow,' 'Wouldn't Do That,' and 'Tight Situation.' Also a few of those classic combinations: 'Perfect Situation' with Deborahe Glasgow, 'This Love' with Chevelle Franklyn, 'Teenie Weenie Loving' with Lady Saw and 'I Love Jah' with Flourgon one of the select newer singles. Also full of love songs mostly are produced by legend Willie Lindo of Heavy Beat. All the others have legends touching the music as well: Colin York & Lynford Marshall of Fat Eyes have produced the second most and two by Gussie Clarke, As a bonus there's the 'Brawta Icon (Irie & Mellow mix)' of the album. Great songs all in one place. Might make a good playlist too.
CALYPSO
Dmanlyrics - Salute to the Pannist
These days without living in the islands, it is hard to find calypso. When you come across a good one we got to promote it. This is a salute to the pannist (steel drum player). Done by DManLyrics who has been around for years.
TRAPHALL
Devin Di Dakta 'Truth Hurts'
Traphall is the biggest thing musically in Jamaica. Not our preference, we do listen to all of it. It is basically Trap mixed with dancehall. This might be the first song we actually like lyrically. We do not care for the actual music. You may or may not agree with the talented Devin Di Dakta yet he is speaking his reality. Like it or not, neither the music or the 'Truth' are going anywhere anytime soon. Take a listen:
