Various Artists "Friends of Marcia Griffiths Celebrating 60 Years"
All of Marcia Griffiths' best songs are here and then some and sung by her cohorts. Every song is a great song. All produced by Donovan Germain of Penthouse records. Serious talent from veterans Carlene Davis, Nadine Sutherland, Pam Hall, Twiggi, Alaine and one of only two males on the album Mr. AJ Brown. There's also todays hottest talent in Naomi Cowan, Shuga, Nyanda (Brick & Lace(), Sherita Lewis and new to us Sashae Evans. The only other male singer is D-Major. We have saved the best for last. Typically, females get their start as back up & harmony ingers for their male counterparts. Well this young lady made her neme there and now has risen above that. She is a bonafid singer and uses her strengths to make her version of 'Melody Life' the best tune on the album. It's so good what she does with the harmonies, it starts the album. Enjoy!!!

Busy Signal & Rik Rok 'Pull Up'
Busy Signal has jut raied his stock.......Again!!!! Busy continues to impresss. Think about this it was 12 years ago he almost went to prison. We would have missed so many good songs. It was a turning point in his career. He started doing more reggae songs, Lover's rock and not just dancehall. Well he returns here to his original foundation of dancehall with no only lyrical prowess. a delivery in parts of the song we have rarely seen or heard. In fact one of the few is on the Dutty Showtime riddim we featured last week. This one is with Shaggy's old sidekick Rik Rok. The duo takes the vibes from a nice session and mash it up with this song all over again. Rik Rok adds the singer style to the duo to give it that epic contrast of rough & sweet inna di dancehall. Long live the Signal. He almost out did him self.
