SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.
Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!
Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?
Interestingly, enough there is no new muzik to talk about this week. This has not happened all year. It comes at a good time as we look back at the best of 2021 according to our weekly blog and what we ended up playing more than other songs. This year had the highest output of good muzik this year, over any other year we can remember. If you do not feel the same way just sample our weekly blog.
This is Part 1 of a two part series of the best of 2021' "Shok Wave"...the blog. You can also use this as a guide for the podcast. This will focus on reggae, reggae rock & ska.

Biggest & Best Surprise of the Year.
We discovered this band and their ep "Summer Lovers" right before the end of the year. Better late than never. These guys are called The Roots Makers and they blew our mind. Their sound is so good we cant believe our ears. They got that authentic sound of the late 70's & early 80's, our favorite era of reggae. Their previous EP is just tracks and they sound so good. They need to be producing for singers & DJs. The top cut is exactly what they are going to do 'Make Them Feel It.' The track feature Lyndon John X and reminds us of Cocoa Tea's "Settle Down."
