SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.
Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!
Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?
REGGAE
Various Artists "Nivata Riddim"
A riddim produced by Dean Fraser & Dr Love is a nice warm & easy jugglin riddim. This has to be the first or one of the first for Bobby Hustle an American reggae artist to be produced by a renowned Jamaican producer like Dean Fraser with 'Candlelight.' Bobby takes his time and lets time take him and it works. Then Jamaican Duane Stephenson sings the good ol' 'Roots Rock Reggae' better known as 'Shining Sun.' The last artist to sing on it is General Degree. He speaks of Jah guiding I & I while we 'Out There.' Definitely more cultural for Mr Degree. It's a nice change. Lastly, the producer does what he does best on this 'Nivata riddim.' Dean adds his sax flavor to it to give a nice jazzy feel.
Kailash 'Swept Away'
The best song on the new 'Sweetsop riddim' from Miss Mac Music and Jamie Hinkson. A nice riddim overall. This is the one that stood out. Such a nice soothing voice. We are 'Swept Away' by the vibes. This young man Kailash has a very bright future. We look forward to much more. Give thanks for the vibes.
