Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?

Akae Beka 'Polarities'
The amount of music this man continues to put out is incredible. It feels like he lived in the studio. Akae Beka's work continues and will continue for many decades to come. 'Polarities' is his latest collection of work that showcases his strengths in his medium of music. The production from I Grade is part of a 20 year history and makes this their 13th album together. The lyrics and delivery style create one of his better collective works in recent times. The songs were literally recorded all over the world while Vaughn was on tour. The producers and collaborators is like a who's who of roots reggae: Tippy I, Moon, Jah David, Tuff Gong, Teflon Zincfence, Lloyd Richards, Kirk Bennett, Aston Barrett Jr and Vaughn himself.
The return to simplicity and his more traditional delivery add to the power of his 'Polarities.' 'Don't Feel No Way' was always a vibe from Vaughn unless of course you were doing injustice or something wrong. He goes a lot deeper as he does with the meaning. Listen & learn, which is always the case. 'Charges' is about positive & negative. Love the line 'whats the charges on the battery if you dont hook up the positive with the positivity.... hook up the positivity with the negativity, they found balance in the calibrate speed trodding as an automobile.' Remember it's all about energies. Blackness of carbon is Akae Beka and uplifting each other is Chronixx together it is 'Black Carbon.' This is an easy way to 'Sow and the Reap.' Love the trombone on this track with Drew Keys. We all have our tribe and we all say love hurts. Akae Beka always honors the king and she must be the queen of her king. Doing it with long stem steamers. This is the 'Royal Tribe.' 'Everything Is Bless' is about the fact that there is always something to teach and something to preach and something to learn. A song that features the only other guest on the album with Tiken Jah Fakoly. Possibly our favorite song. One thing with Vaughn was he has never been short of songs it's been more about 'Sing A New Song.' Our integrity as humans has possibly returned as we as a people can look to one another again for help and guidance. Does that mean 'Value Good Again?' This one needs interpretation on my part. I know I am not getting the fullness of this one. It goes deep. Lastly, the album starts as the collection know as 'Polarities' and ends with the song of the same name. 'Rasta make mention.... everything in the realm of love in the realm of peace, under the defense of the polarities.' His muzik takes time and it takes time to listen to it. Once you give what you need you will get back what you are suppose to get. Live, love, learn & listen.
