REGGAE
Mykal Rose releases a second album for 2017 in 'Strategy of Rome.' This album proves his worth, consistency and ability to not only write a good song, sing it with talent as well. Sounding as good as ever. The top cut is 'On The Move Again.' Other top tracks include : Give Thanks, Get Rid Of Trouble, Wish To Life, Gimme Jah Love & Mr Collie.
I love Busy Signal most ever since he started singing on roots reggae riddims. The 'Straight Step' riddim is no exception as he 'Rises Again' and then another favorite Fantan Mojah steps up straight with 'Let Us Live.'

Long lost Yvad returns with a 3 song EP 'Riverton.' Roots rock reggae at it's fullest. After listening to these songs you can tell that Yvad feels & has lived these songs: Hungry Belly Pickney, No Chalice & Riverton.'

Soca
A good dose of positive soca, which is rare.
When the day starts with a good, positive soca song it's what kind of day? It's a 'Beautiful Day' from Collis Duranty
Soca's son Machel Montano has brought in Turner on his latest 'She Bad (remix)' The tune is bad, I don't know about she. Turner adds a nice vibe so it makes me think it maybe the other way around. I think this is Turner's tune & he brought in Machel. Either way it's a bad tune.
Can't quite figure out if this is soca or dancehall. I think I have to lean towards dancehall. It has a really good melody and the riddim is called 'Tropikana.' The only artist on the riddim I have ever heard of has the best tune: Kenne Blessin with 'Yeah Yeh.' There's also Chucky Sklack with 'Dem Nuh Real' & Daddy Lynx 'Nah Sell Out.' Good vibes with great melody and done with a few topics I don't favor.
