SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.
Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!
REGGAE
New artist of only 17 hits us with her debut song 'Burning.' Her name is Koffee & everything so far is FIRE!!
Out of New Zealand comes Tomorrow People & their newest single 'Don't Fight It.' A bit poppy, good melody though.
DANCEHALL
Long Lost Merciless has a returned to scene with a song inspired by Ninjaman's murderer conviction. He calls out the fraternity in a stylish fashion in 'The Story.' Worth more than a listen its in the following mix starting at 10:40. They saved the best for last.
The 'Holiday Weekend' riddim is here for the party vibes right on time. It's a re-release & just in case you missed it like I did. Top tracks come from Iyara, relative newcomer K Queens & the fresh Keisha Firmm.
SOCA
Khylo comes with a crazy & hot melody on his latest 'Stick It.' Getting help from Krazy Lunatics, this one MAD, not my typical topic loving subject. Soca loves to sing about rum & whinning & I just cant get away from this one.
