REGGAE

The youths are on the rise and one elevating both himself & the youths is Randy Valentine. His new album is called 'New Narrative.' The lead single is the best and it's a song called 'Happiness Station.' Other top tracks include Vigilant, Just In Time, Me & My Lioness and Warrior Ah Road.

Randy Valentine - Vigilant

Tribal Seeds are getting ready to drop a new album and the first single 'Roots party' is setting the precedent for this new album. The title tells all.

Tribal Seeds - Roots Party

A decent juggling riddim releases in the name of 'World Of Righteousness' and features Marlon Asher, Anthony B, I Jahbar & Rapha Pico as the best cuts.

World of Righteousness Riddim - Babylon Move Like Rug

Ky-Enie a Jamaican artist that plays in the realm of acoustic style singer/songwriter with an emphasis on reggae. His new album 'Change Things' is a great example of this style. The title track is great and a great example of this style. This style focuses on the lyrics and that's what makes this song so good and the best song on the album. All of the songs have good lyrical content. I just feel he has not conquered this style yet so his reggae tracks sound better. The first reggae track is a previous single 'Round Of Applause.' Paying tribute to the poor people and those that work so hard and deserve what the title states. Other top reggae tracks include 'Shooby Do,' 'Storm,' and for the ganja lovers 'Free Up' speaks of the freedom to smoke herb in Jamaica. I feel that if all those other songs were in reggae they would be better. Time will surely be on Ky-Enie's side.
