'Three Little Birds' Joins Billion Club First For Reggae
Super Group Dukes of Roots Interview With David Rodigan
Steel Pulse Was Disrespected Burma Boy Ask Them To Leave
Kulcha Shok spoke to Steel Pulse guitarist David Electric and confirmed the fact that Burma Boy asked them to leave their dressing room. Burma Boy came with an extra large entourage and demanded extra dressing rooms. In doing so he asked Steel Pulse to leave their room and totally violated their space. Totally uncalled for in this circumstance. In our opinion the Boy should have talked with Summer Jam's hospitality department. Instead, he took it upon himself to disrespect the band. Sewlyn Brown, keyboardist for Steel Pulse, has never been upset in all his years. The band held their ground. Then security put up a fence backstage between Steel Pulse & Burma Boy to keep them separated. Reggae is about peace, love & unity yet Burma violated reggae's code. Hopefully Summer Jam handles the situation appropriately. A band like Steel Pulse, who helped lay the foundation for reggae, should never have to deal with this type of situation.
