SHOK WAVE: NEW MUSIC RELEASES 1/9/2024

SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.

Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?

REGGAE

Various Artists "Fire Luv riddim"
A nice jugglin' riddim of roots rockin' reggae with a touch of Lover's Rock. Top tracks come in from Pressure Busspipe with 'Get In Your Way.' A song that says your works will reveal the goodness and inquity worker will not prevail. Nice to hear from the Virgin Islands prodigal son, it's been a while since we hear a nice tune from him. The other tune that is a standout is from Claire Angel, who is new to us  with the tune that "Brings Back The Vibes,' need we say more. Here's a mix to get a taste of the whole riddim:

SOCA

Kevin Lyttle, Mr Rakka & Keshav 'Sweet'
It's just 'Sweet.' Kevin Lyttle's latest looks to be a hit. Crafted in both Belgium and the heart of the Caribbean, this musical masterpiece transcends borders, forging connections between continents. "Sweet," is a standout single from the highly anticipated 'Soca Ambassadors' album, seamlessly blending the infectious energy, love, and unity of Carnival with authentic recordings. This uplifting tune is dedicated to celebrating female freedom worldwide.
