SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.
Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!
Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?
REGGAE
Ras-I feat Drew Keys 'Days & Months'
This is what you call true love. A beautiful song and a video that shows the love you can feel it's real. The vocals and trombone sound like one and when Ras-I really starts singing it starts in a classic jazz & soul style that works oh so well, especially when he sings the hook of 'days and months...'
Patrice 'One Love'
Here's a very stirring rendition of a Bob Marley classic 'One Love.' Everybody has their own style and this version is scary good, almost give you chill bumps, goose pimples, chicken skin or whatever you call it when your skin goes cold. Patrice is Germany's Pop & Reggae star....now you know why. He made this his song for.
DANCEHALL
Daddy Freddy & ManuDigital 'Digital Man'
STill one of the baddest DJs to ever come out of Jamaica, Daddy Freddy is the 'Digital Man.' Lyrics, slurs, and speed have been his traits to stand out. It's a flow. I honestly think he never sings the same song the exact same way twice. That's the best part. The other thing is he could do it forever. He could Dj until the never ending tomorrow. At one point, He owned the world record as the fastest rpaper in the world. See & listen why here
