SHOK WAVE: NEW MUSIC RELEASES 1/3/2024

SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.

Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?

REGGAE

YG Marley 'Praise Jah In The Moonlight'
Reggae royalty has dropped. He is the son of Lauryn Hill & Rohan Marley, born Joshua Marley and goes by YG Marley. His tune is from a song from his grandfather Bob called
Praise Jah In The Moonlight.' It has a vibe

DANCEHALL X-MAS

Moyann 'Santa Daddy'
The best Christmas song of the season this year is hands down Moyann's 'Santa Daddy' dancehall tyle. She lays it on ya boys and what a great video too

SOCA

Adam O 'Nice & Smooth'
Adam O is on a tear for the 2024 season. He has dropped numerous tunes. This being our favorite 'Nice & Smooth' It has a sick zouk styled soca track called 'Swoop Waap,' what do you mean you don't want to dance. Adam will put you in that mood.\ because the music and the girls are nice & smooth.

Admiral T & Phyllisia Ross 'Intouchables'
This is a true zouk tune called 'Intouchables' by Admiral T out of Guadelope and Phyllisia Ross of Haiti. They both sound good & look great.

SKA

Mustard Plug 'Now Or Never'
From one of the years best ska bands, on the years best ska label is their best ska song from their latest album "Where Did All My Friends Go?" Mustard Plug on Bad Time Records with their tune 'Now Or Never.' The only fully ska tune on the album.
