Shok Wave kicks off with the album releases. First, it's the double cd and bonus dvd from VP Records called 'Gussie Clarke From The Foundation.' Gussie is a man of great statue and has played a very significant role in the music. I didn't realize he had been apart of some of reggae's greatest songs that are on this cd like: Dennis Brown 'To The Foundation,' 'Pass The Kouchie' Mighty Diamonds, 'Throw Mi Corn' Larry Marshall' as well as the 80's dancehall movement like: 'Rumours' Gregory Isaacs, 'Telephone Love' JC Lodge, 'Pirates Anthem' Cocoa Tea, Home T & Shabba Ranks, 'Twice My Age' Krystal & Shabba Ranks and 'Mr Loverman' Shabba Ranks & Debroahe Glasgow. Then there's the great Djs/toasters of reggae like URoy, Big Youth & Iroy as well as some great instrumentals & dubs from the likes of Tommy McCook, Augustus Pablo and Simplicity People's dub of 'No, No, No' and that's not all. There's Gregory Isaacs great version of 'Loving Pauper,' 'RaggaMuffin' by Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs & Freddie McGregor. There's also the Tamalins, Delroy Wilson and Pam Hall. The DVD really shows the depth, history and professionalism of Gussie Clark from his professional team: Dean Fraser, Donovan Germain, Mikey Bennett, Nadine Sutherland, The Mighty Diamonds, Steven Stanley, Nadine Sutherland, Steelie & Clevie and Freddie McGregor. Great all the way around.
Ky-Enie releases a new 6 song EP called 'Love Means Everything.' An acoustic reggae vibe which leads way for the strength of his songs from the opening anthem 'Love Means Everything' to the last 'Rub A Dub Soldier,' which Ky-Enie proves he has taken on that role. The main single & biggest tune is 'Round Of Applause.' A great tune dedicated to all the mothers & hard working people the world over. These same people will relate to 'Ghetto Dreams,' as we all have dreams. If more people could take the role of Ky-Enie as he does on 'Mi Nah Complain,' we would have a better & happier place. So for those that can't relate draw for your meds & get 'High Up Deh.' Solid.See more on Carlson Knives.

In our reggae single releases we have a first, more albums than singles. The first single is 'I Am Feeling Irie.' Nyashane has a great song to start every day from his upcoming EP 'Barefoot Warrior.'
John Holt's son Junior Holt comes a tune reminiscent of his father called 'Doctor Love.'
Lastly, Jesse Royal releases 'Next To You' on the Acoustic souls riddim. A nice tune about a love topic you don't hear about much or enough. He's saying he finally found his wife.
In our holiday/Xmas & ska section this week Roger Rivas & the Brothers of Reggae have two new versions of two classic Christmas songs 'Jingle Bells' & 'Deck The Halls.'
In the soca department this week we get yet another tune that impresses making this upcoming Carnival and soca season in Trinidad one of the better ones for us since we are liking so much music so early. This time it's Chucky Gordon with 'No Jumbie Vibes.'
