Riddim/Album

SpruddyOne

Spruddy's debut album 'One' produced by Jo Hirt and hit producer Jr. Blender (Major Lazer), is a Hamburg, Germany based reggae artist that puts a nice spin to his reggae. The album starts with the appropriate 'Who Can Stop,' and continues with favorites 'Forward Ever' on the original 'Stars' riddim, which also has a nice horn solo, 'Give Thanks,' and ends with my favorite 'Family Affair.' Very positive and the singles they are pushing are more about love. The only available new tunes are one of the singles, one of my favorites:

'Deal Me In' riddim has a nice lovers rock feel to it. Its kicked of by the Outlaw & veteran Josey Wales with 'What's It Going To Take.' Also on the riddim is the riddim namer by Triston Palmer, the long lost Foxy Brown of 'Sorry' fame with 'Good Love' & my favorite is from Sasha with 'Hold A Vibes,' which she does very well here. You decide:

Messages coverbadart small

FigTree Management releases 'Messages' a real nice & easy roots riddim. Top tracks include Errol Bonnick with 'Searching' & Chicken Hawk's 'Rising.'

Singles

Lion-D-feat-Dennis-Brown

Lion D of Africa & growing up in Italy has his take on 'RACIAL DISCRIMINATION.'

Everlasting Love (Everlasting riddim) - Nisha Evans out of the Bahamas gets the title bearing track and rightfully so. Her track is the best. The others don't come close even the name brand. It's also a Bahamian production.

smke with you

Do you ever do things because of the people you do it with? For instance, you only go surfing when you're with your friend Kai. Well I find this song to be of a similar circumstance. When you 'smoke marijuana I just want to be with you,' Maybe it's the only time you do it or when you do it you want to be with that person. I think we can all relate in some shape or form. Just make sure it's the right time 4:20. What a combination Kin Riddimz &/or Jahmmi Youth out of Bulgaria with 'When I Smoke With You.'

Dancehall

Singles

vybz kartel

Vybz Kartel 'Electric' This poppy dancehall love song is very popular right now and Vybz Kartel is leading the pack. Here's another:

Busy Signal - DWLY (Don't Wanna Lose You) is over the same beat/riddim of Justin Biebers 'Sorry.' A dancehall tune with obvious hints of pop as a love tune.

Soca

Singles

BusySignal-700x605

Busy Signal - Soca Vibe (Soca 2016) is a party soca tune and it samples an Allison Hinds tune 'Faluma.

kerwin-du-bois-ft-chris-martin-feelin-ya-self-cover

Kerwin Du Bois Ft. Christopher Martin - Feelin Ya Self 2016 Soca is like two songs in one. Sounds like new material from Kerwin & Christopher does a remix of this 2012 hit 'Hotter Than Dem.' It works well in soca & content wise for compatibility on lyrics.
