SHOK WAVE: NEW MUSIC RELEASES 11/3/21

SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.

Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?

REGGAE

Micah Shemaiah “Still”
Micah Shemaiah “Still“ Is a great production from the ever positive and never disappointing Zion High Productions. They take Micah Shemaiah’s “Still“ to a zion high. Great, crisp and rootsy live tracks that elevate the youth. ‘Angels In Zion’ reminds us of Drew Keys, who played keys and trombone for Zion High. The trombone is there and so is the vibe. The track gets a wicked dub, too. We are all dealt a 'House of Cards' and this one is straight roots. This one is a 'warning.' 'We all come from the same source' so it's time to 'get up stand up with your head haffi hold your hand up,' the words of a 'Natural Man.' One of our favorites and there's that wicked bone again. Another accompanying dub. 'Still' is the title track and 'still a hold the truth' and a 'rock and groove.' The bone is there 'pledging rasta.' Of course, the 'Natural Man' can't take no more of 'Wicked Babylon.' You ready for the dub? It follows. Our three favorites all in a row with their dubs and the big bad 'bone. Micah has secured his place with his 'Roots Rock Sound' with the help of Zion High and 'Still.'
