SHOK WAVE: NEW MUSIC RELEASES 2/5/2024

SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.

Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?

REGGAE

Supa Bassie 'Me Nah Go In A The Dance'
If you love the 1980's style reggae/dancehall this new big & bad Supa Bassie track 'Me Nah Go In A The Dance,' is made for you. It feels like the original King Jammy's riddim and takes you on that musical ride. The style, thre riddim,, the lyrics and the flow take you in the dance of the 80's. A veteran in the reggae scene and one of the pioneers in Latin reggae & dancehall. It's Supa Bassie
Randy Valentine 'Love Is In The House of Life'
Randy Valentine has always been on our radar and that radar has detected a bubbling hit in 'Love Is In The House of Life.'

REGGAE ROCK

Tropedelic 'Ease Up'
Ohio's pride & joy will never 'Ease Up' on their music. Their reggae rock sound has a pop sound & sweet melody on their latest single 'Ease Up.' There's a little rap about half way.
Love the part '45 just ease up' it's the heart of the song & melody

Matisyahu 'Love Supplier'
Changes have only been the constant in Matisyahu's music. His latest EP "Hold The Fire" is no exception. Our standout track has great lyrics and melody. It has a reggae rock, AfroBeats
and worldbeat feel. It's great. The lyrics say 'you are my love supplier.' Must be a special one.
