Greetings Muzik Massive
This week we finally found some soca we like!
We kick it off with a new EP from Artikal Sound System 'Inversions.'
The top track comes with a reggae & reggae rock feel with special guest Menny More. The track is
'What They Need.'
The riddim Lion of Judah has released courtesy of Zion Kings & I Grade. With tracks from Akae Beka, Pressure, Batch, Michael Rose, Lutan Fyah and a good assortment of mainly Virgin Islands reggae artists, many who started out freelancing teaching guitar for kids to raise funds. It's Europes Ziggi Recado's 'Black Lion,' Puerto Rico's Don Carmelo & his rhythm naming tune 'Lion Of Judah' and the only previously released track from Guyana's Jadan Blakkamore with 'Smood Black Skin' are my favorites.

In the reggae rock department, California based Seedless return with a heavy rock fused reggae track 'Heart Of A Warrior.'

In the soca department, I liked a record breaking 3 tracks this week. I usually listen to like 15-20 a week and never hear anything that really stands out. I'm usually having to make a sacrifice.
Flipo comes with the hot soca riddim Zuk Bounce and the top tune on that riddim called 'More The Cause.'
Edwin Yearwood from Barbados joins TNT/Miami's Giselle D Wassi One with the Victorious produced 'Heart.' For those that get or know about the music service from Promo Only, you will get this track on the Jan 2016 edition of the Caribbean Series.
Lastly in the soca department is a new artist for me Soca Shaq with 'Never Again' on the Invitation riddim. It's a Parang (which is similar to soca in style) out of Grenada for the Holiday season. For those that don't know Parang, it's the holiday music of the Eastern Caribbean. I play it all year though because it's a style not always the subject.
This brings us to more Holiday/Christmas music from Twiggi & Sadiki with 'Christmas.' It's on the great relick of the 'Sea Of Love' riddim on Skinny Bwoy Records. I'm not usually a big fan of reggae Christmas music. This is a stand out in my book.
