NEW REGGAE RELEASES

Conkarah & Crysa ( Reggae Cover ) By Wiz Khalifa feat Charlie Puth - 'See You Again'

I have a confession to make: I learn about popular music through reggae covers. This next tune is a Wiz Khalifa tune I didnt know about called 'See You Again.' It is sung by the new modern day king of reggae covers: Conkarah & his latest recruit Crysa. The other confession is I always like them better in reggae, maybe you will too.

Csavi - 'War Chant Joy'

'War Chant Joy' is a brand new track from Bahamian Csavi, which has a different good vibe.

Sizzle - 'Fought For Dis'

Sizzla releases another album. This artist may set the record for record releases. His newest is 'Fought For Dis.' This is an album that shines best with his guests like on 'Don't Worry' with Gentleman & Mark Wonder or 'Happy For You' with Capleton & Vershon. Lastly, there's the title track that also standouts.

Harmonious Riddim Mix

The Harmonious riddim is a nice juggling reggae riddim with a potential hit from Capleton in 'Weed Man.' The others include Kabaka Pyramid, Dre Island & Jah Defender.

Onward Riddim Megamix

Another nice juggling reggae riddim is the Onward riddim. More from Kabaka Pyramid, Kelissa and the duo of Gentleman & Torch. The riddim has an old vibe to it and then mix in the dub feel, so you know what I am talking about.

Raining Riddim Mix

The Raining riddim joins the ranks of the many good juggling reggae riddims we have this week. Never heard of any of the artsists which is good. It means growth.

Good Good Lov'n Riddim

The last of the jugglin' reggae riddims is 'Good Good Lovin.' This one has more of a lover's rock vibe with top cuts from Lukie D, Tony Curtis, Jah Wiz & Anthony Malvo.

Kelissa & Jesse Royal - 'Wake Up And Live'

Kelissa has a new tune to groove to called 'Wake Up & Live' feat the small axe Jesse Royal.

Ras Maxx David - 'Guide I Way'

Ras Maxx David has taken the philosophies of HIS Majesty and put them into context in his song 'Guide I Way' as well as in the video for the song. Nice likkle tune. Give the Youth a bligh.

NEW SOCA RELEASES

Franswaa The Entertainer - 'Domestic Abuse'

Franswaa The Entertainer tackles a very prominent problem in the West Indies 'Domestic Abuse' for 2017 Crop Over. He does it with style. I do not feel like I am being preached or lectured. It has melody and sounds great.

IWeb - 'We Pray For The Souls'

'We Pray For The Souls' is dedicated to those that have lost loved ones due to vehicular tragedies. It comes courtesy of iWeb aka Ian Webster and the musical genius Darien Bailey and thought provoking spoken word artist D.J. Simmons to create a sobering tribute to those who lost their lives in road fatalities. Another one tackling a tough topic and making it groovy.

Jimmy Dan - 'That's What We Like'

We all like different things and thats what makes us all individuals. Well the personality known as Jimmy Dan has revealed that jumping & waving, feting, wuking, gyrating, jamming, drinking, hear the soca.........'That's What We Like.' If you're a fan of these then this is a must.

Lincoln - 'Wanna Be Loved'

This is a Buju Banton song 'Wanna Be Loved' done in a Caribbean style. The artist, Lincoln, turned the song into a romantic song and sounds great. It really shows how great the song is by Buju.

Patrice Roberts - 'Diamond'

Patrice Roberts has been one of my favorite soca artists. Always puts out good stuff. Now she has a daughter that has brung out the best in her. It's called 'Diamond.' This is not only a Mother's Day song but a song that represents someone worth loving, whether your spouse, significant other, child/children or friend. Boom Bam

NEW DANCEHALL RELEASES

Second Lesson Riddim

The 'Second Lesson' riddim is a different sounding riddim with a bit of a different vibe too. Mystykali's 'Love Me' is the riddims title track as it could be the second name for the song and is in the style of learning love and Pternsky's 'Run Lef Dem' has a voice that could be Vybz Kartel.
