NEW REGGAE RELEASES

Marcus Gad & The Tribe - 'Chanting'

A real roots & rasta reggae album has released in the form of Marcus Gad & the Tribe with the appropriately name 'Chanting.' A heavy meditative, message driven and heavy vibe album that hits home for me. I love the whole album. This is also the first time I have ever heard anyone sound like Midnite/Vaughn Benjamin. Songs 'Hata Fyah' & 'Purify' not only sound like him, they also have that frequency. If your 'Soul Talk' 'Which Color' would it be. A deep song in meaning. Every song has a real message.

Teach Dee's - 'Rastafari Way'

Another very rasta oriented release is Teacha Dee's 'Rastafari Way.' Very conscious & positive. Stand out tracks include: 'Emperor Selassie,' 'Lightning Earthquake and Thunder,' 'Never Feel Alone' feat Echo Minott and 'Rumors.'

Luton Fyah - 'Music Never Dies'

Lutan Fyah has released his best album yet in 'Music Never Dies.' Another solid album with top tracks being 'Beat Dem,' the title track, 'Too Much Ramshackle' and his best on the album is 'Real Woman.' Good production, melody and lyrical content. I think the difference is partially the music/production has created better melodies then in pasts.

Droop Lion - 'Have You Seen The Rain'

Droop Lion has redone the song 'Have You Seen The Rain'  with great emotion to win us over.

Axxcess - 'Murdera'

Track of the week goes to a new artist with a new song Axxcess 'Murdera.' It has a great hook to it. It will hold you.

NEW DANCEHALL RELEASES

Konshens & Chris Brown - 'Bruk Off Yuh Back'

One of my favorite dancehall songs off the Moskato riddim is 'Bruk Off Your Back' by Konshens, well it  just got Chris Brown on it, so this makes it the remix.

Vacation Riddim Mix

SHS releases one hot riddim that borders on reggae/dancehall tempos. Bugle is killing with 'Clean Heart.' Iceman's 'Today' is where his girl takes over and takes control, while Jodanne Patrice can't even get noticed in 'Crazy Crush.' Tifa comes with my favorite song from her so far in 'Dreaming.' 'Jamdown' by Voicemail & Chevaughn has gotten the riddim namer and one of my favorite newer artists is Zagga with 'Let's Run Away.' I've saved the best for last CLARA aka CK 'STRESS FREE.' I love the melody.

NEW SOCA RELEASES

Tian Winter - 'Oath'

We have one new release to talk about  and it's Tian Winter's 'Oath.' Good uptempo ragga soca.
