Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?

REGGAE

Vybz Kartel "Numb"
The new EP "Numb" by Vybz Kartel is interesting to say the least. It is said it is about his new fiance, Sidem Ozturk. This one caught our attention in a good and bad way. The bad is turned into a good? This is an EP made to be listened in private. It is slackness love in a poppy dancehall manner. Is that even possible? I guess nothing is forbidden, hidden or left to the imagination. In fact, Vybz leaves no stone unturned when it comes to imagination or leaving it a secret. I can't say too much by my rules because we keep it clean. This means you have to listen to this to understand it completely. Kartel says it is an all-girls song EP Done in a very explentive way, using words not meant for the young or virgin ears. In certain corners, society would wash out hi mouth with soap only because of the choice of words. It could be taken the other way, as most are love songs, just not sung in a clean manner. The melodies can help cross those lines. 'Without You' starts out if it's going to be one of the cleaner songs, just keep listening and the ***kery starts. No bars on 'Numb.' This is definitely not a 'Vaccine.' 'I Only Wanted You' is a bit more straightforward while trying to keep it proper.  'About Last Night' is the only song that has a clean version so we feel this maybe the official single. A common topic so this one should make strives for both reasons aforementioned. 'Play Boy Bunny' will really connect with the crowd that likes this type of lifestyle, it's catchy for sure. Vybz says it straight in 'The Search Is Over.' Lastly, the only duo on the album has Savage Savo 'Home.' This one relates to the rudeboys. We have only scratched the surface please listen to each song with our description and you will understand much better. Be warned explicit lyrics.

SOCA

Kisha Kay 'Sneaky Licky Link'
Do you know when the vibe is right and the party nice, well this is what we call the 'Sneaky Licky' link. It's Kisha, Kisha Kay and she sings you don't know me and I don't know you. The way she sings the hook, it don't matter, it's so sweet, original and wicked. If you didn't know the name of the song you wouldn't know the name of the song. Because you do, it makes it that much better to singalong. The soca party mash up when this one plays, especially when this is the mood you're feeling.

SKA

Macka B 'Give Thanks For Life'
'Life is precious don't take it for granted' is how Macka B's latest ska song opens. We support the notion as life is the greatest gift. Mr B continues to sing 'life is beautiful it's like a surprise' and agree with every word in 'Give Thanks for Life.' Lyrically great, really good rhyming lyrics and a good vibe ska beat. A winning combination.
