SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.

Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?

REGGAE

Manaky "Reborn"
Rockers inna Hungary style outta Budapest with an impressive sound. It's Manaky starts with their title track "Reborn," which is about the reggae music's healing. Their second track is 'Meditation' with Brother Culture. Lead singer Zsolt Krecsmáry has a great voice very clear and in English. The album is well produced. 'Border' talks about traveling from country to country in times of need. Revoultions are happening and people can't leave for a better life. 'Kyana Run Weh' is about the new world order. 'From Time To Time,' 'I Won't Let Myself Down,' ‘70 Times,’ ‘Dont Act Like That’ and ‘Work’ are all commendable album tracks and making it a solid album. 'Rushin' is a ska based reggae track talking about how everyone's in a rush and 'Someone' is that person who does it different from most. All these later songs listed are worth a listen. Never heard better reggae than this from Hungary. Great voice, production and coupled with English language as the back drop should see them garner many new fans worldwide. A listen is to believe.

SOCA

Supa Mario 'Like Beckham'
It's the 'BeanStalk' riddim with kids favorite video game hero out of Trinidad and Tobago Supa Mario with 'Like Beckham' aka 'Bend It.' The riddim is nice and Mario riddims it well.

Adriana John 'Take Me Away'
Here's a sweet soca song to 'Take Me (You) Away' from new artist Adriana John.

REGGAE ROCK

Dale & the ZDubs ft Bumpin Uglies 'Pathological'
A real reggae rock tune that's catchy from Dale you know that dude from the 'Pathological' group called The ZDubs.
