SHOK WAVE: NEW MUSIC RELEASES 3/6/2023

SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.

Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?

REGGAE

Kelly Shane & Busy Signal 'Ain't That Loving You'
You ask who is Kelly Shane? She is the daughter of Tanya Stephens. She makes a big entrance into the reggae world by recruiting Busy Signal and covering this classic tune 'Ain't That Loving You.' The biggest part of all is her impressive talent and how she handles the opportunity.

Various Artists “Cornerstone Riddim”
Miss Mac Music, which is Jamie Hinkson's record label named after his mother. It's their first for 2023 and it's called the Cornerstone riddim..It's  5 new songs, 4 new artists, 3 different languages! This riddim is one of six albums remixed from Jaime Hinckson's reggae jazz project, Fresh Produce. Staying true to our global music mission, we were able to find artists from new locations, including Colombia, Serbia, and Australia. The standouts for us are from right around the corner. Kristine Alicia and the title track for the riddim 'You A Di Cornerstone' and Jamie Hinkson himself with the jazzed up riddim playing organ.
