REGGAE

KEZNAMDI "Bloodlines"
Keznamdi does it, his first solo debut album has released under the name of "Bloodlines." Nine tracks that cover many topics and builds his well deserved musical reputation. The album starts with one of his favorite areas of Kingston Jamaica 'Skyline Drive.' If you do not know it, 'Skyline Drive' stretches from Jack Hills to Gordon Town (Upper St Andrew) and overlooks the city from up top. A great place to steam all day and all night as Keznamdi says in the song. Love how the song starts with a piano that gives me a vibe of 'My Conversation.' 'Justice' is overdue in Keznamdi's home of Jamaica.  'Justice' is a major agenda for any rastaman. The title track 'Bloodline' is in combination with Mortimer, one of Jamaica's buzzwords at the moment and adds a nice contrast to the song. Sip up mi roots with mi 'Chillumpeng,' is a contrast how society is unfair. You work so hard everyday, week after week and still can't make it. 'Chillumpeng' is that release & relief. Song has a great vibe, melody and style. With a light hip hop feel, 'Queen Of The Ghetto,' Kez salutes the ladies. If you didn't know already, rasta is on broadway. 'City Lock' feat. Tory Lanez was reviewed as the first single from the album previously here: http://c6f.acb.myftpupload.com/shok-wave-new-music-releases-2-17-20/. The only thing you need to know about it is it's straight fire. 'Love Mi Nuff' is a song that talks about the boasty statement of how many girls he has. Another track about the ladies with a light hip hop feel. Keznamdi shows his softer side for the love of a girl. The song is about when the two have to go their separate ways in 'Morning Comes.' Lastly, the album "Bloodlines" ends the album when Kingston Jamaica was a much safer place in State Of Emergency.' A great first full length effort from Keznamdi. Look out for his tour this year and support the movement. Here's the album you need to hear.

Romain Virgo 'Save Your Love  For Me'
Romain Virgo is the real deal. A true singer, 100% Jamaican and dedicated to reggae music. The bwoy is bad. He oozes talent. His latest single 'Save Your Love For Me' proves his worth and his love of love. His melody, lyrics coupled with his talent is the full package. In case that's not enough, the first time I saw him in 2017 he gave me chill bumps. Take a moment & peeps the new music & more.
