SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.

Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?

REGGAE

Dekall  "Unification"

The new talent out of Austria is putting their homeland on the reggae world map. Leading the pack is reggae singer and DJ, the very talented Dekall. The voice coming out of this kid is amazing. Trained as a classical singer and representing his country on world stages as a kid sure helped his journey. Thank Jah he picked reggae. He is a major asset to the reggae world and he hasn't even started. It begins here and now with "Unification," his debut album. If that isn't enough to prove his journey, the title track 'Unification' which brings all Austria's top reggae talents together on one song, the title track. Those talents are: 3gga, Deliman, John Dizzy, Kijo, Mad Noise Elle, Miss Weirdy & S Pri. Dekall is the epitome of unity plus love. Dekall supports it so much, he has several more songs with his Austrians. Fellow country man Deliman joins him on 'Changes Is Gonna Come.' Not only are these two from Austria, they have that family/blood type of harmonies on one of the albums best tracks. Their talents shine. Dekall has braught all the Austrian reggae talent with him. John Dizzy guests on 'Water & Oil,' then goes 'Online' with Kijo. The dancehall banger features Austrian Manuel Feller the near World Cup champion ski racer. From Sweden comes a European compatriot in Danjah who joins Dekall on 'Step By Step,' as he steps to Zion. Also from Sweden, comes their best reggae product in Million Stylez on the 'Ganja Love (remix).' Dekall taps one of America's best underground reggae singers in Bobby Hustle with 'They Will Try' to get us down.

This Austrian reggae talent is not only uniting his homeland and Europe, he is doing by bringing all the reggae forces together on this project. You can hear it on 'I Will Never' walk away from love featuring Turbulence. Dekall is the answer because he does it with love.Dekall is so good, he says life over death & 'Good Ova Evil' with Anthony B starts his path. They will not be able to stop them with this track at hand. Perfect Giddimani is perfect for 'Smoke Some' since he such a fan and advocate of the herb. If it's dub you like, Dekall has that for you too on 'Rise Up Dub' featuring the producers of the album House of Riddim's Sam Gilly. One of Europes best backing reggae bands. Dekall is definitely not short of talent he brings the best from his homeland, Europe, America & Jamaica. In the end it is Dekall who shines over all in the appropriately named debut album "Unification." This Austrian reggae talent is not only uniting his homeland and Europe, he is doing by bringing all the reggae forces together on this project. You can hear it on every track. Dekall is the answer because he does it with love. Trodding like a true rastaman, Dekall is reggae's uniting force because 'everything is better when we start to work together.' Then when you think he couldn't do any more he ends his album with another talent from Austria.

Jah Reflection 'Underdog'
We don't listen to much outside of music from the Caribbean. We did not know this was a cover of the great Alicia Keys. So we went to listen to the original and we find this better than the original. Do not watch the video because it will influence you too. This song and video are great. We like the choice of keyboard sounds over the piano and the choreography and editing in the video are on point.....stellar. A great one while at the 'bus stop.
