Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

Instead of not doing a blog this week we decided to list a bunch of good songs that released. I did not find anything great just good. Maybe this should be the start of an additional playlist? What do you think?

There's a new movement making more than noise in the soca world and it makes total sense. We have been following it for years. If you don't know the history of Panama, let us give you a quick lesson. It starts with the Panama Canal. It brought work for many of the regions poor. In came a major influx of the Chinese and West Indians. Once done most stayed. The biggest impact was that of the Jamaicans who mingled with the natives and created a whole new breed. This is how the whole region from Panama to Cozumel got infiltrated with West Indian vibe on the Caribbean side of Central America. In turn this made for new Caribbean music throughout the region. It is what helped create reggaeton, Palo de Mayo, Plena, Punta Rock, and now Soca (Kulcha) Latino. One of the front runners is Rika Twins with 'Excusa.'

KI & The Band 'Missing Carnival'

Nailah Blackman 'Melancholy'

Kerwin Du Bois  'Soca Love'
