SHOK WAVE: NEW MUSIC RELEASES 12/2/19

SHOK WAVE is your weekly new REGGAE music blog. SHOK WAVE finds music that is out there in the form of Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Ska, Dub, Reggae Rock & anything else musical with a Caribbean origin and in any language.

Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

REGGAE

Various Artists "Cougar Riddim"
A Undisputed Records release produced by House Of Riddim and a French production and all contain French lyrics. Warrior King does NOT put out bad music and knows no bad music. Always solid and consistent. He always finds a nice melody. 'Praising Jah' is what this King does as he is joined by Blacko for the albums best tune and it has an extended dub on the end of the track. Sir Samuel and Brahim are unfamiliar to me yet I am sure they have their following. Tiwony is a name that is more familiar. 'Roots Rock Reggae' from Original Uman is another top track. A real nice live roots reggae riddim that is played in parts with a light dancehall feel. Regardless of any language barrier, reggae music prevails.

Lion D "Born In Captivity"
This new EP "Born In Captivity" is Italian reggae's finest. A Bizzari Records release has 3 they produced and the others are Reggae Beatz & Paolo Baldini produced “Queen Of The Dancefloor”, which is a riddim played by Mellow Mood. The talent of Lion D is hard to miss and this EP is solid once again. Straight roots reggae & positive messages.  Kicking things off with the best track it's 'System Failure.' Straight roots and reality reggae music that further emphasizes babylon's fall. Every night out in the clubs there's always at least one 'Queen of the Dancefloor.' Keen to his surroundings, Lion D advises others to keep your 'Eyez Open Wide.' 'Proud' is a testament to his works as an artist, performer & writer of reggae music. Use it as an inspiration. Lastly, 'Puff Mi Sensi' is a real & common topic for reggae. This one has a mellow hip hop vibe musically, and is the only non-Italian produced track.

KULCHA LATINO

United Flavour & Morodo 'Voy A Cambiar'
United Flavour is Czech Republics best reggae band and joined by one of Spain's best reggae singers in Morodo for a song called 'No Voy A Cambiar (I Will Not Change).' It's the second advance single from United Flavor next album. In this song, Sista Carmen with Morodo reminding us that you have to be true to yourself. Good Stuff all around. Enjoy
