Here is what we found this week.......Enjoy!

Lots of music this week.

REGGAE

Angela Hunte releases a good new reggae album 'R.A.W.' which stands for reasonings and words. She's a grammy award winning artist that wrote 'Empire State of Mind.' She's lived in London, Sweden & Trinidad and born in Brooklyn. She has done alot already and is stepping out in the fore front to her with a debut reggae album. Singing about mankinds greatest attribute, emotion and feeling: LOVE. She takes to the radio with a pop feel on songs like 'In Da Mornin,' 'Here We Go,' and 'Runaway Love.' I think the best all around track is 'Rub A Dub.' It has the vibe and melody.

Tuff Gong releases an interesting reggae album from Better Chemistry called 'Fruit Of Life.' Most of their better songs have help from an established reggae name, including the title track. The sound is more like an American reggae band and they are from California.

Fruit of Life

The Expanders release their latest: 'Old Time Something Come Back Again Vol 2.' They have maintained that Studio One Sound like no other in 2017. If you love the original reggae sound these guys are for you. I like just about every song on the album was good.

I have never understood the mentality of women from Jamaica and at this point I dont really want to understand them. Tanya Stephens has been at the center of this misunderstanding and her version of her song' Take Good Care Of My Man (Rub A Dub Style).' She does not seem to mind her man spending some loving time with another lady. You would think she would have words for him, it is quite the opposite. Only Tanya Stephens can word it like she does and speaking for many from the Land of Wood & Water.

Fergie Duhamel is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is the female vocalist for the hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas, with whom she has achieved chart success worldwide. She has a ew reggae pop song. I have NEVER published a song that uses the F word/bomb so beware. A lady of her caliber I hope comes out with a clean version more so, so it can go bigger because she can only help reggae music. The video is a bit vicious to add to the lyrics. The track is 'Love Is Blind.'

If reggae music is sweet than this new song from Mosiah is yours. The video has a nice vibe esp the vibe coming from Mosiah.

Gentleman is a very consistent & good reggae artist. What an attribute for reggae & to come from Germany, is very impressive. He teams with the talented Aloe Blacc on his latest single 'Imperfection.' Talking about how 'we're only human.'

Another Great reggae album comes from the living legend Dean Fraser and his musical tribute to Dennis Brown in 'Melodies of D.E.B. All your Dennis Brown favorites. If a saxophone could sing, this is what it would sound like.

KULCHA LATINO

The first release we got this week is from La Panchita records and Sr Wilson's new album 24-7. Backed by the Island Defenders, this album shows depth and is very solid with a balance of English & Spanish songs. It also features ska, acoustic, reggae & dancehall. My favorite track is the title track and lets not forget the great dub tracks too.

Sr. Wilson & The Island Defenders - 24/7

SOCA

LFS Music releases the new song 'No Weapon' for Trinidad 2018. Good sounds, good message.
