Reggae Albums

mishka

Mishka, originally born in Bermuda, is a 'Free' person whose soul roams this Earth without restrictions & feels that since his roots all mankind should have it too. Mishka has gone much more reggae on his latest album 'Roots Fidelity.' An album of 12 tracks with ten of them being at least good. I believe it's the fact that he came 'Face To Face' with the Lion in his journey that has brought out this full reggae vibe, like 'Honesty,' which is my favorite track. You can't get away from 'Love & Devotion' and the fact that society is progressive about 'More Greens.' So 'Rocksteady' to 'Roots Fidelity' while encouraging the love with 'Stay By My Side' & 'Want You Tonight.'

taj weekes

Taj Weekes & Adowa release the new Love Reggae & Herb album. A diligent reggae soldier out of St Lucia has his bright spots in the music. On this album one is 'Let Your Voice' be heard as much as your silence, I really like that line, it rings well with me. My favorite track is 'Was It You' because it just falls short of being that BIG tune. Lastly Taj speaks dearly of his homeland, you hear it & feel it on 'St Lucia On My Mind'

Reggae EP

7 chakras

Vybrant releases 7 Chakras great concept. Falls a bit short as the 7 are not meet. Vybrant has talent and scratches the surface of the 7 Chakras with 3 songs 'Rise,' 'Try Life,' & my favorite, 'Ok One Day,' because it has more vibes & energy that's coming from a real place

Dancehall riddim/album

The riddim is called 90's Don Dada after the same tune from Supercat. It's typical of those days & times musically, vibes wise, and just a bit off on the lyrics. Then it was a bit more fun. This one is still fun too. Top cuts from The New Kids on the Block as well as the more established artists of our time take the cake on this riddim: Konshens, Leftside, K Coniel, Bryka, & newcomer Ndag

Dancehall remixes

Not a topic I touch much, I will say that Heatwave out of Canada sent 3 and 2 were good. They both have been done quite a bit. The 'Sorry' remix with Vybz Kartel is the standout because it has mostly Kartel on it. The other is Rihanna's 'Better Have My Money'

Dancehall/pop single

Here's more dancehall/pop from Vybz Kartel. This time with Vybz Kartel Feat. Mon Cherie - Gates Of Heaven. I don't know what else to say other than I find it a bit sexy because of Mon Cherie's vocals

Reggae singles

Prestage returns with 'He That Seek' shall find, every time

Soloman Island's Rosie Delham is joined by Conkarah for a great rendition of Adele's 'Hello.' If you don't know this tune by now you should. It has over 3 million views on Youtube and the girl is only 14 & killing it. BIG TUNE!!! Big up Conkarah too. I've been a fan for years.....TELL DEM!!!

Sean Kingston teams up with Chimney Records for a hit reggae record called 'One Away'

'Feel For You' (My Love) has a nice feel to it, by Stuart Wilson, partially due to the fact is produced by one of the best Clive Hunt

GYPTIAN - ADDICTED TO YOUR LOVE - KONSEQUENCE MUZIK has finally officially released and it's another nice love oriented tune from the sweet sounding Gyptian

Hempress Sativa- Rock It Ina Dance (Conquering Lion Rec) was inspired by Michigan and Smiley's "Nice up the party" without any apology

Here's a little treat for my HALF PINT fans
