SHOK WAVE: Dec. 2, 2015

Greetings Kulcha Shok Muzik Lovers

The Blog has been coming along nicely. If you have any questions or feedback just reach out anyway you can ....thanks for reading & hopefully listening

Our only new album comes from Switzerland's Million Stylez. The album is called 'Revelation Time.' This man could easily be a top reggae artist in Europe and the world. The album can help put him there. It has Peetah Morgan, Bounty Killer, Lutan Fyah & Mr Williamz. To reinforce my statements of top billing, check out his songs 'My Shine' and 'Breath Of Life,' they endorse the same topic. One of the top tracks is with Mr Williamz on 'Cant Stop The Youth.' The sound has a cross between a King Jammys & Gussie Clarke 80's style dancehall riddim. The Heart & Soul riddim is here with his song 'Where's My Wife?' Peetah Morgan & Bounty Killer round out the duest & best tracks on the album with 'Never Conquer I' & 'Equal Rights & Justice,' respectively. Two very positive tunes to vibe out on.

In our singles, a new tune to us and a few weeks old is Chino's 'Zion Step.' Great delivery and rapping style on this one.

Trinidad's Orlando Octave & Jamiaca's butcher chop it up on the Ganja flavored 'Bun It.' A nice sweet and smooth singer with a rough & rugged dj to add some spice to the fire.

It's been nearly two years that I have heard a good calypso. The reason being there isn't much released anymore and also the lack of quality. Veteran Shadow returns with 'What You Come Here For,' to end the drought.

In other soca related to holiday music is another Parang. This time it's the great theme & title of 'One Love Parang' on a new Parang riddim. In other holiday music there's Denyque with 'Santa Baby.' This will make it the best year for Holiday music in many years...too many to remember.
